Simple Floor Cleaner

hard floor cleaningMix equal parts of hot water and vinegar. When done with this all you have to do is mop the floor. There is no need for rinsing since the smell of vinegar will disappear as soon as the floor has dried. Since vinegar itself is an acid in nature, it will remove most of the light stains. This will leave the floor sparkling.

Another easy way to clean your floor is by mixing:

  • 4 liters of water
  • 3/4 cup of olive oil
  • Half a cup of lemon juice.

The hot water combined with the lemon juice will clean the floor. Due to the acidity of the lemons, it will again remove most light stains that may be there. The olive oil is in the mixture so that your floor can get that nice new shine. To apply it just use a mop. When finished mopping let the floor dry on its own. There is no need for extra rinsing.

Home Made Cleaners

Another home made natural way to clean your floor is to mix equal parts of vinegar with water. Use this and mop the floor. If there are some tough stains consider adding some washing soda dissolved in 0.5 liters of water. After you have finished mopping the floor just damp it again in clean water and rinse it real careful.

The Power of the Tea

For medium or dark hardwood floors Black tea is the recommended cleaning agent. Put 2 bags in boiling water. Wait for it to cool and then moisten a cloth with it. Now wash your floor with the moistened cloth and that’s that.

All Purpose Cleaner

For this cleaner you will need:

  • Half a cup of alcohol
  • 2 to 3 drops of dish soap
  • 3/4 cup of vinegar
  • 5 to 10 drops of lavender, orange, tea tree or something else that close to those
  • 1 cup of distilled water
  • A 1-litre fine-mist spray bottle.

Put all the ingredients into the bottle and shake it to mix them. After that sweep or vacuum the floor. Spray the cleaner on the floor and with a microfiber cloth clean it. And, this is all to it.
